In this dark comedy, a well-meaning but struggling probation officer, Benno, is tasked with rehabilitating a group of misfit criminals, including the charming but irresponsible Hotte. Despite his best efforts, Benno finds himself constantly at odds with his clients, who refuse to take their probation seriously. As he tries to navigate the complexities of the German justice system and his own personal life, Benno must confront the harsh realities of working with those who have little intention of changing their ways. Will he be able to make a difference in their lives, or will they continue to fall back into their old patterns of behavior?
