Deranged

In a thrilling drama, a pharmaceutical worker, Jae-hyuk, must save his family when a mysterious outbreak of virus-infected mutant parasitic horsehair worms called 'Yeongasi' spreads across the country, infecting people and causing them to jump into rivers to combat dehydration. As the government works to find a cure, Jae-hyuk struggles to protect his family when they exhibit similar symptoms. But the situation worsens when the anthelmintic drug used to treat the infection causes more pain and death. Amidst the chaos, a drug called Windazole seems to be the only hope, but the pharmaceutical company refuses to disclose its composition, leading to a government official's arrest. With time running out, Jae-hyuk uses his knowledge of chemistry to create a drug with the same active ingredient as Windazole and successfully treats his family. But just as they're about to go on vacation, a dead body is discovered floating in New York Harbor, leaving the audience wondering if the Yeongasi has spread beyond Korea. Will Jae-hyuk and his family be able to escape the grasp of this deadly parasite?
