The Garden of the Finzi-Continis

In 1930s Ferrara, Italy, the Finzi-Contini family, a wealthy and influential Jewish family, tries to maintain their way of life amidst the rising tide of anti-Semitism. As the fascist regime tightens its grip, the family's adult children, Micol and Alberto, gather a close-knit circle of friends for tennis and parties in their idyllic villa. Meanwhile, Giorgio, a young Jewish man from a lower social class, becomes infatuated with Micol, but their love is doomed from the start. As the political situation deteriorates, the Finzi-Continis are forced to confront the harsh reality of the Holocaust, and the fate of their family hangs in the balance.
