In the small town of Hamilton in 1966, a young couple, Rose and Eric, fell deeply in love amidst a picturesque backdrop of daffodils. Their love story, filled with joy, heartache, and iconic New Zealand music, is retold through the eyes of their daughter, Maisie, a singer who uses her music to cope with the impending loss of her father. As Maisie performs, the audience is transported through time, reliving the highs and lows of her parents' relationship, set to contemporary re-imaginings of beloved New Zealand songs.
