Crisis is a gripping thriller that delves into the world of opioids and its devastating impact on society. The movie follows three interconnected stories, each with a unique perspective on the crisis. Dr. Tyrone Brower, a university research scientist, is contracted by a pharmaceutical company to study their newest product, a non-addictive painkiller. However, Brower discovers concerning results, and when he recommends delaying its release, he becomes the target of pressure and discreditation. Desperate, he becomes a whistleblower and contacts the FDA, leading to a race against time to expose the truth. Jake Kelly, a DEA agent, has infiltrated two large-scale drug cartels running fentanyl. With personal motivation to bring them down due to his sister's addiction, Kelly intends to convince the two cartels to enter into business, so both leaders can be arrested at once. However, things become complicated when news of a captured teenage drug runner comes to light, and Kelly's relationship with the drug kingpin becomes strained. Claire Reimann, an architect and recovering Oxycodone addict, becomes concerned when her 16-year-old son doesn't return home from hockey practice. She soon discovers that he has died from a fentanyl overdose, and she embarks on a dangerous journey to uncover the truth behind his murder. Through her son's social media, she tracks down one of his friends, who confesses that several teenagers from the hockey team work for the drug kingpin as drug runners. Reimann crosses the border into Montreal, where she hires a private investigator and threatens another drug runner, hoping to find justice for her son. As the three stories intertwine and the characters' paths converge , they each face their own crisis, and must confront the harsh realities of the opioid epidemic.
