In the heart of the Congo jungle, a team of scientists and adventurers embark on a perilous journey to uncover a lost city and its fabled diamond mine. Led by the enigmatic Karen Ross, the group includes a primatologist, Peter Elliott, and his assistant, Richard, who bring along a special mountain gorilla named Amy. As they venture deeper into the jungle, they encounter fierce resistance from grey gorillas that guard the mine, and the team soon realizes that the gorillas are not the only danger lurking in the shadows. With the help of a wilderness guide, Monroe Kelly, and a philanthropist, Herkermer Homolka, the group races against time to uncover the secrets of the lost city before it's too late.
