Charley Varrick

Charley Varrick, a crop-duster and former stunt pilot, robs a bank with his wife and two others. When they discover the heist netted more than three-quarters of a million dollars, Charley realizes the bank was being used to launder illicit Mafia cash. He tells his accomplices the mob will never stop looking for them and their best chance of staying safe is to live their normal lives for the next few years and not draw attention to themselves. However, a Reno-based gangster named Boyle hires a sadistic contract murderer, "Molly", to find the stolen cash and make an example of the robbers. Charley flies his crop-duster biplane to Reno and contacts Boyle's secretary, who warns him not to trust her boss. Charley phones Boyle and offers to return the stolen money, arranging a meeting at a remote junkyard. Molly assumes Boyle and Charley were working together and runs Boyle down with his car, killing him. Charley’s plane flips upside down during a chase with Molly and he tells Molly that the money is in nearby car. Molly opens the trunk sees Harman's body and bank satchels before the trunk explodes killing him. Charley releases himself from the wreckage, throws a wadof hundred-dollar bills onto burning car’s flames gets into another car , and drives away
