Carnivores follows the story of Mona, a struggling actress in her thirties who is overshadowed by her younger sister Sam, a rising star in the French film industry. As Mona's career stalls, she becomes increasingly dependent on Sam, who offers her a job as her assistant. As they work together, Mona begins to take on more and more responsibilities, both on and off the screen, as Sam's grip on reality begins to slip. The sisters' unhealthy relationship with each other and with their director, Paul, reaches a breaking point as they become embroiled in a Pygmalion-like scenario that threatens to destroy them all. Will Mona finally find her moment in the spotlight, or will she succumb to the toxic dynamics that have consumed her life?
