Caged

Caged is a psychological horror-thriller that follows the descent of an affluent African American psychiatrist into madness after he is wrongly convicted of murdering his wife and sent to solitary confinement. Isolated and fighting for an appeal, he is pushed to breaking point by an abusive female guard hell-bent on her own form of justice. As he struggles to maintain his innocence, he becomes increasingly haunted by internal demons and hallucinations involving his dead wife, leading him to question his own sanity. The film takes place in the Security Housing Unit (the SHU), where the protagonist's never-ending nightmare unfolds.
