Bull Durham is a romantic comedy that follows the story of a minor league baseball team and its players, particularly a veteran catcher named Crash Davis and a young pitcher named Nuke LaLoosh. Crash is brought in to mentor Nuke and help him reach his full potential, but their relationship gets off to a rocky start. Meanwhile, Annie Savoy, a baseball groupie and spiritual seeker, sets her sights on both Crash and Nuke, causing tension between the two men. As the season progresses, Nuke becomes a dominant pitcher and is eventually called up to the major leagues, while Crash overcomes his jealousy and reconciles with Annie. The film ends with Crash considering a career as a minor league manager and Annie ready to give up her annual affairs with young players.
