Breadcrumbs tells the story of Liliana Pereira, a Uruguayan photographer who returns to her homeland after years of exile in Spain. She seeking to reconnect with her son, whom she was separated from during the Uruguayan dictatorship. However, she is faced with a difficult decision: to support a collective case for female prisoners who were raped during the dictatorship, or to reconcile with her son and live peacefully as a mother and grandmother. This powerful drama explores themes of trauma, resilience, and the power of women's solidarity in the face of oppression.
