Blue Steel

Blue Steel is a thriller movie that follows the story of Megan Turner, a rookie cop who becomes embroiled in a cat-and-mouse game with a psychopathic killer named Eugene Hunt after she foils an armed robbery on her first day on the job. Despite being suspended from duty due to accusations of killing an unarmed man, Turner finds herself obsessed by Hunt's psychopathic behavior and becomes determined to clear her name and bring him to justice. As the investigation unfolds, Hunt begins to use Turner's name as a signature in his killings and becomes more and more obsessed with her. Turner, in turn, becomes more and more determined to stop him, even as her own career and life are put in danger. The movie takes a dark and suspenseful turn as Turner finds herself in a race against time to prevent Hunt from killing again and to prove her own innocence before it's too late. The movie stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Megan Turner and Ron Silver as Eugene Hunt and features a strong supporting cast, including Clancy Brown, Elizabeth Peña, and Louise Fletcher . It was directed by Kathryn Bigelow, who is known for her work on Point Break and Zero Dark Thirty. Blue Steel was released in 1990 and received mixed reviews at the time of its release.
