Blind & Ugly

In "Blind & Ugly," a quirky and heartwarming romantic comedy, Ferdi, a self-conscious young man, finds hope in the form of Jona, a beautiful woman who is blind. Or so he thinks. Unbeknownst to Ferdi, Jona is not actually blind, but has been pretending to be in order to live in subsidized housing. As their relationship blossoms, Jona's charade becomes increasingly difficult to maintain, and the couple must navigate the challenges of love, identity, and perception. Shot with a unique cast of blind actors and old Berlin buddies, and featuring the director himself in a lead role, this film offers a fresh and humorous take on the complexities of human connection.
