What is Birth of the Dragon about? 
In Birth of the Dragon, a young Bruce Lee (Philip Ng) challenges kung fu master Wong Jack Man (Yu Xia) to a brutal martial arts showdown in 1964 San Francisco, while teaching outsiders and defending them against Chinatown gangs. The film is based on real events and shows Lee's emergence as a martial-arts superstar after his legendary secret showdown with Wong. The movie mixes facts with fiction, as after the confrontation, Lee and Wong form a partnership to take down the Chinese mafia in Chinatown, which did not happen in real life.
