Before/During/After

Before/During/After is a poignant and humorous drama that follows the story of Jennie Lonergan, a middle-aged actress, After her seemingly perfect 15-year marriage ends when she catches her husband cheating. The film takes place over the course of one day, as Jennie auditions for a career-making role in a play that triggers memories about her marriage and the aftermath of her divorce. With the guidance of the play's director, Nigel, Jennie must confront her pain and find the strength to move forward towards a life she truly wants. The film seamlessly moves back and forth in time, mirroring the way memories tend to resurface, until we realize that the audition itself was also a memory and the true present moment is one where Jennie stands solid on her own two feet, ready to embrace her future with vulnerability and strength.
