Early Spring

In a small, two-room basement apartment in Copenhagen's working-class neighborhood of Vesterbro, 14-year-old Ester lives with her father, mother, and younger brother. The apartment lacks modern amenities, and the family struggles to make ends meet. Ester dreams of becoming a writer and spends her days lost in thought, writing poetry, and exploring her surroundings. As she navigates her adolescence, Ester must confront the harsh realities of her family's situation and find her own path to adulthood.
