Sammen med "Pinnochio" er det  måske den bedste af de gamle Disneyfilm fra før Walt Disney døde. Lidt kitschet naturlyrik, men på en fed måde.

What is Bambi about? Toggle content

Bambi (1942) is a timeless classic animation film that has been loved by generations. The movie follows the life-changing adventure of Bambi, a young white-tailed deer, who sets off with his best friends Thumper and Flower to explore the wonders and challenges of the woods and fulfill his destiny as prince of the forest. With its awe-inspiring animation, humor, and heart, Bambi remains a family favorite. The film features an impressive cast of voice actors, including Bobby Stewart as Baby Bambi, Donnie Dunagan as Young Bambi, Hardie Albright as Adolescent Bambi, and John Sutherland as Young Adult Bambi. Thumper, Bambi's rabbit friend, is voiced by Peter Behn as Young Thumper, Tim Davis as Adolescent Thumper, and Sam Edwards as Young Adult Thumper. Bambi's journey begins with his birth in the forest and follows him as he grows up and learns about life, love, and friendship. Along the way, he faces challenges such as dealing with the loss of his mother and fending off hunters. The film's stunning animation brings to life the beauty of nature and captures the emotions of its characters in a way that has captivated audiences for generations. Bambi's success can be attributed to its groundbreaking animation techniques that created realistic movements for its animal characters through careful observation from live animals brought onto studio lots for study & using an early form of motion capture technology called 'stereoscopic photography'. This was pioneered by Disney animator & legendary naturalist Muse when designing character motions from animal movements observed at zoos across southern California where they filmed them performing various activities like running jumping or even drinking water; these movements then became incorporated into their animated counterparts giving them more realism than ever seen before within animated productions at this time period (1930s/early 40s).
