Arvéd is a powerful and thought-provoking drama that explores the complexities of human morality and the lengths people will go to achieve their goals. The film tells the story of Jiří Arvéd Smíchovský, a charismatic and highly intelligent man who is both a practitioner of black magic and a Nazi collaborator. As the war ends, Arvéd's fortunes shift, and he finds himself in the unexpected position of being saved by Štěpán Plaček, a man he previously saved from a concentration camp.
