What is Arabikkatha about? Toggle content

"Arabikkatha" is a powerful drama that follows the journey of "Cuba" Mukundan, a passionate leftist who is forced to confront the harsh realities of the working class in Dubai. Against his wishes, Mukundan must leave his rural home in Kerala to make amends for his father's alleged misappropriation of funds. In Dubai, he discovers the true meaning of the term "working class" and learns that the Communist movement he has devoted his life to may not be as relevant as he thought. Along the way, he meets a Chinese girl named Zhang Chu Min, who symbolizes China to him, but he soon realizes that she is an anti-communist and is in Dubai to make money for her boyfriend's treatment. Despite this, Mukundan gives her his earnings, saying that a communist never keeps money beyond their needs. With the help of his friends, Mukundan exposes the corrupt politician Karunan and Kunjunni Muthalali's exploitation of helpless laborers. Ultimately, Mukundan returns home to continue his work for the political cause that has been his life's passion.
