It’s delightful and almost miraculous the way this movie manages to work as a comic heist picture on a huge scale, and with a comic science-fiction picture blended into it.

A sci-fi caper movie about an inventor who drafts a thief to steal a knockoff of his shrinking technology before it falls into the wrong hands...

A science-fiction, action-heist, superhero comedy soap opera, this straddles as many genres as the Avengers films have characters but manages to do most of them pretty well. Extremely likable, with a few moments of proper wonder.

...Rudd’s disarming charm is the perfect antidote to the self-seriousness of recent super antiheroes. It is Marvel’s first straight-up comedy, and thankfully, it works.

...Ant-Man nips nimbly back and forth between sizes, often within the space of a single leap.
