When the wealthy Count de Montarbie passes away, his niece, the Countess Louis de Montarbie d'Haust, must choose a worthy male heir to inherit the family title and estate, as tradition dictates. But she's not keen on her arrogant and greedy nephew, Gonzague, and instead finds herself drawn to Abdel, a resourceful young man from the wrong side of the tracks who's taken refuge in their castle. As these two opposites meet, sparks fly and they may just learn to help each other out in unexpected ways.
