A young man, Jacek, wanders the streets of Warsaw with a sinister demeanor while a taxi driver, Waldemar, goes about his day. Their paths cross when Jacek hails Waldemar's taxi but instead of taking him to his desired destination, Jacek strangles and kills Waldemar. Jacek is later captured and sentenced to death by hanging.
