A Real Vermeer

In the early 1920s, young and talented Dutch painter Han van Meegeren is struggling to make a name for himself in the art world. Critics dismiss his work as old-fashioned and accuse him of imitating the masters, including Vermeer. Determined to prove them wrong, Han creates a fake Vermeer and tries to pass it off as the real deal. To his surprise, the painting is a huge success, and he becomes embroiled in a web of lies and deceit as he continues to produce forgeries. As his fame grows, so does his ego, and he finds himself caught up in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the art world's elite. But when a high-ranking Nazi official comes knocking on his door, Han's world is turned upside down, and he must confront the consequences of his actions. Will he come clean about his forgeries or risk everything to keep his secret safe?
