Never Look Away

Inspired by true events, "Never Look Away" tells the story of Kurt Barnert, a young artist who escapes East Germany and finds himself torn between his passion for painting and the weight of his family's dark past. As a child, Kurt is exposed to the horrors of the Nazi regime and witnesses the brutal treatment of his aunt, who is diagnosed with schizophrenia and eventually murdered under the Nazi euthanasia program. Years later, Kurt meets Ellie, a fashion design student who happens to be the daughter of Professor Seeband, the same man responsible for his aunt's death. Unaware of their shared history, Kurt and Ellie fall in love and attempt to build a life together despite Seeband's efforts to sabotage their relationship. As Kurt struggles to find his voice as an artist and come to terms with his family's tragic past, he must confront the reality that everything he holds dear may be at risk. Will he find a way to uncover the truth without losing what he loves most?
