What is The Raid: Redemption about?
The Raid: Redemption, also known as The Raid, is a 2011 Indonesian action crime film written, directed, and edited by Gareth Evans. The movie takes place in Jakarta, where a SWAT team led by Sergeant Jaka (Joe Taslim) is tasked with raiding a crime lord's high-rise building. But after entering the building, the men become trapped inside with an army of heavily armed gangsters. The film follows the unit's fight for survival as they battle their way through the city's worst criminals to complete their mission. The movie stars Iko Uwais as Rama, one of the rookie members of the Mobile Brigade Corps squad tasked with raiding Tama's building. The film also features Yayan Ruhian as Mad Dog/Andi (Tama Riayadi and Hammer Girl), Tama's top enforcers [2].
