Monster-in-Law is a romantic comedy about Charlotte "Charlie" Cantilini (Jennifer Lopez), a temp, dog walker, and aspiring fashion designer who finally finds her dream man in Dr. Kevin Fields (Michael Vartan). However, their relationship is put to the test when Kevin's overbearing and controlling mother, Viola Fields (Jane Fonda), becomes determined to break them up.
