With great performances and an insane story, I found The Girlfriend to be quite enjoyable.

...has lost little of the book’s psychological acuity and retained all of the suspense. Not one to watch with your sons, perhaps, but otherwise – enjoy.

...is, at the end, escapist trash. But it’s glossy and richly satisfying trash, right up until the perfectly devilish epilogue.

...though nothing about it reinvents the wheel in terms of the thriller genre, it’s still a decent enough time. 

...the most deliciously unhinged drama since Doctor Foster.

Cherry and Laura’s feud alone is juicy enough to warrant a bite. 

Watching these two clash is great fun, the very definition of binge-worthy drama.

...is exactly the kind of psychological and soapy binge to kick off the fall TV season, easily devoured in one indulgent sitting with a cheeky drink and lots of yelling at the screen.
