The danes have us swedes stand corrected, actually most of the time when it comes to drama, acting and storytelling. Maybe their lingo is just better suited for natural sounding dialog, where we tend to sound like reading lines from a script ( yes Åremorden I’m looking at you). There are also quite big diffrences in our culture which always makes danish series and film feel more ”international” some how rather than just next door. For example the whole system with the filipino aupairs is not a thing in Sweden at all and I found the portraits of both the upper class as well as the girls working for these families intriguing. The acting is convincing all round, perhaps the ”evil” neighbour lady is a bit of a stereotype but still well performed. I’m glad to see the working women be given a proper voice and not just as a back drop to ”see how rich people live”A must watch!
