"Memory of Encaustic Tile" is a Chinese drama series released in 2022, directed by Tian Yu. The story follows the lives of three childhood friends, Shao Xue, Zheng Su Nian, and Zhang Qi, who grew up together in a Beijing hutong where their parents worked in the art conservation and restoration industry. As they mature, their paths diverge, and their feelings for each other begin to change. Zheng Su Nian's mother, who has a significant influence on her son and Shao Xue, falls gravely ill, prompting Zheng Su Nian to take on new responsibilities. Shao Xue, on the other hand, feels inspired to broaden her horizons, even if it means leaving her familiar surroundings and friends behind. She harbors secret feelings for Zheng Su Nian, who has also been secretly in love with her for some time. However, Zhang Qi, whose true talent lies in mathematics rather than antiques, also develops feelings for Shao Xue. When Zhang Qi receives the opportunity to study abroad, the trio reaches a turning point in their young lives. Can love truly be set aside so easily? Or will Cupid have a say in the matter?
