In a world plagued by fantastical creatures called Spirals, born from the souls of the dead, a young apprentice named Haru dreams of becoming a Period, a warrior capable of defeating these monsters. Despite failing the entrance exam 38 times, Haru is accidentally accepted as a Period Assistant in the 8th Division of Arc End, a secret organization dedicated to fighting the Spirals. With the help of his new teammates Gazel and Liese, Haru embarks on a journey to rebuild their division and prove himself as a true Period.
