Bud Graziano, a former heavyweight boxing champion known as 'Bomber,' has retired to a peaceful life on a ship. But when he meets Jerry, a punter in trouble with the law, Bomber's passion for boxing is reignited. He opens a gym for amateurs and trains a promising young fighter named George. But when George is knocked out by the formidable Rosco, Bomber is determined to take matters into his own hands. He steps into the ring once again, determined to defend his gym and prove that he still has what it takes to be a champion.
