f there’s one thing The Wheel Of Time isn’t short on, it’s substance.

...feels fresh and majestic...

Darker and more magical than ever.

Driven by a desire to see how this world would expand and the Chosen One(s) narrative would play out, I easily binged through the six episodes that were provided for review...

Perhaps the Wheel will never weave this show into the version some of us (read: me) want it to be. But there’s certainly still plenty to enjoy about the one we have. 

A bold, rich and complex serving of magic.

The cast seem more comfortable now and the stakes ever higher in a smart, complicated adaptation that is taking worthwhile risks, while still holding on to what fans love about the books.

The thing is—I want to love The Wheel of Time. There’s so much potential in this world, from its complex history and politics to its unapologetically feminist worldview.

If anything, this season is the most cinematic yet...

Great performances save the day, but it's too little, too late.
