I denne dystre og animerede genfortælling af kultklassikeren Night of the Living Dead fra 1968 dukker der blodtørstige zombier op overalt. Barbara, Ben og en gruppe af fremmede mennesker gemmer sig på en afsidesliggende gård, hvor deres kamp for at holde de kødædende bæster ude skaber en anstrengt stemning indenfor.
