Catch-22

Catch-22 is a miniseries set during World War II that follows the story of Captain John Yossarian, a bombardier in the United States Army Air Forces. Yossarian is frustrated by the fact that thousands of people are trying to kill him, and his own army keeps increasing the number of missions he must fly. He is trapped by the bureaucratic rule Catch-22, which considers a request to be relieved of duty on the grounds of fear about the danger of missions to be the process of a rational mind, so any such request must be denied. The miniseries explores Yossarian's attempts to avoid flying dangerous missions and his struggles with the absurdities of war and military bureaucracy.
